What should I expect?

If you are looking for a unique fun run experience then the 5K/10K movie theme run is what you should go for! We will have several entertainment stations set up where you can meet your Hollywood stars and have great pictures taken.

The 20k/30k course is designed for experienced runners and is a very technical course that takes you through jungles, river beds, up-and-down valleys.

How do I register?

Is this an XTERRA event?

Yes the Run Star is part of the XTERRA Trail Run Series. All participants are eligible to receive official XTERRA points

Where and when does the race start?

There are several starting waves. Please refer to our schedule for a detailed overview. The race is held on June 19th 2016 at the Kualoa Ranch.

When and where is packet pickup?

Please refer to our schedule page

Can someone else pick up my race packet?

As long as you have a copy (can be a photo on your phone) of the person’s ID then you are allowed to pick up the packet for someone else.

Is their an age restriction?

Any age group can participate in our race. Anyone who is under 18 years old needs the consent of their guardian to register online.

Is the course marked?

Yes the course is marked with signs and flags. We will also have volunteers on the course to point you in the right direction. But please keep in mind that this is a trail run and sometimes your natural instincts are required 😉

How are refunds/rollovers handled?

We have a strict  No Refund/Rollover Policy.  The race organization reserves the right, in the event of an emergency or local or national disaster or act of god to cancel the race or to change the date/time/location of the event.

Are there any military discounts?

For any member of the Armed Forces we offer a special entry rate for the 20K and 30K course.

What if I don't pick up my award on race day?

If you did not stay to receive your award, we are more than happy to mail it to you at the cost of shipping and handling. Please contact us if you want your award shipped to you.

What award categories do you have?

Will my photo be taken?

Yes. Photographers will be at each entertainment location to take pictures of you.

What type of entertainment will you have?

How will teams be timed?

All relay teams start together and will get a collective team time.

Can I drop out or get disqualified?

If you choose to drop out then please inform a member of our race crew.

We only disqualify runners if they cheat or physically or verbally assault a staff member or runner.

There is a cut-off time for the 30K runners. 30K runners have to be at the 20K mark by 12:30 noon.

Will there be Aid Stations

We will have several aid stations on the course.

What if I lose or forget my Bib Number?

You will still be able to run the race, but you will not get an official time and your pictures will not be posted online.

What should I wear?

We encourage all participants doing the 5K or 10K fun run to dress up as their most favorite movie star/character. There are awards for best costume!

If you want to compete we suggest wearing some comfortable running gear.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at Kualoa Ranch. Parking tickets will be on sale during packet pick up for $10.00 a piece (subject to change).

When does the Kids Race start?

The Kids Race will be held in the kids zone, where we will have several activities going on. The kids zone opens at 7:25 and closes at 12:00 noon.
